Yep!

Now, 95% of the time I read about people accusing those who don't like our cars of jealousy, I disagree - there are plenty of people out there who just plain like them for a whole variety of reasons...

HOWEVER!

Last night I was in a car park. We had just got in the car as a BMW Z3 pulled up nearby. We started driving away (no loud revving or otherwise 'antisocial' (read "fun!") behaviour) and the guy from the Z3 announced loudly "Lamborghini sh*t"

Now, if he had just got out of a Prius or a Zonda I might have given his opinion the time of day, but having just stepped out of a Z3, he didn't have a leg to stand on! Never before have I witnessed such a bare faced case of utter green envy in my life!

Sad Sack!

Interesting. I've never had abuse as such, but I'm convinced people treat me differently now that I own one. Especially people at work. Ah well.

Too many 'I love this car' reasons to let it bother me!

Was it some form of urban youth speak alluding to the fact he liked your motorcar?

A lot of people under 25 speak in tongues which I find hard to understand now I am 27.

If he really did say that, then definitely jealousy. Otherwise, as you say, there are many other reasons why someone might hate it. Wait a sec, maybe he had one, it gave him loads of trouble and he traded it in for a Z3 1.8? Have you thought of that?

I had a couple of kids outside a shop say 'Mate your car is Sick!' about my Maserati, I think thats positive??? But I am sure st still means st, or did he say it was 'the st' because I think that is positive.

Very odd coming from a BMW driver... Pity him, it's all one can do.

You should have blown him a kiss either way!

LOL!

I am fully versed in "youthful vernacular" hahaha

S**t very definitely still means s**t - UNLESS it's "THE" s**t! - Then it's awesome! lol

He was mid to late 20s, had a 'sportscar' (of sorts - presumably the best he thought he could afford / his lack of imagination would allow) and was plainly gutted at just being massively upstaged!

He didn't even have the good bmw (z4) it was the hairdressers car! tongue out

Careful. That'll have been the first time they'd have had a shower in years.

PS "speak in tongues"? "holy water"? "The power of Christ"? Have I just unearthed a closet Christian??? BURN HIM!!!

Actually I think that is a great comeback to being shouted at by loons.

Flick some water at them and just say "The Power of Christ Compels You!"

They would never expect religious talk to come from an "anti-social" car & driver combo!

Exit, drive away laughing smile

Yeah, Lambos and Ferraris do push some people's buttons! lol

Funnily when we first arrived back at the car, there was a guy looking around it, practically soiling his underpants!

The overwhelming majority of reactions are positive smile and I really couldn't give a toss about the negative ones - it does just sometimes surprise me that people think they have the right to inform you of such!

Well, there's your answer. Bloke has poo'ed in his pants and guy was simply pointing out that there was human excrement in the close vicinity of your car which happens to be a Lambo! LOL

There's always an easy explanation that surfaces eventually!
