Hi all,

hopefully someone here can help me halp a friend.

He has a 2003 C180 compressor (i think, maybe a C200comp) and wants to know if you can get the software for the engine diagnostics.

Is there an OBD2 like on VAG cars that i can plug my lap top into? and what softwware?

Any help is much appreciated.

Thanks,

Steve

The diagnostics is call "Star" and I've been told it costs tens of thousands of pounds.

Should have an OBDII socket at that age, if not a star to OBD adaptor cable is very cheap. I bought some kit from Amazon to use with my Merc and can read all the engine data so far.

The OBDII to USB device is called an ELM327, search on Amazon it was about £25
