Above is a link to Nottinghamshire police - after one of their officers left his two police dogs in the car yesterday and let them die of heatstroke. Ive mailed them my discust at what happened and also the fact the officer concerned is still working! Links for anyone else who feels like complaining and has dogs like me. Idiots, and they wonder why they get little respect sometimes!

Don't those "...... and they were later released without charge!" Police Action programs always bang on about how someone aggresively defending themselves against a Police Dog is just as serious as an offence as if it were a human officer?

Does that mean that the officer will be facing manslaughter charges?

What actually happened?

I hope you didn't use capitals, italics and different coloured fonts.

And spelt disgust correctly.

Hopefully the RSPCA will prosecute the officer. I think this will get enough publicity to ensure they have no choice and hopefully he/she will be removed from the dog unit if not the force.

Not much in the way of details, certainly not enough to justify the lynch mob that's forming.

2 dogs are locked in in a car when it is really hot by a police officer. I struggle to think of how it could be justified. unless the dogs were rabid and were tryign to attack people.
