Sorry this is a bit late...

I saw the yellow/Green anglia 105E with the cossie engine in it at the Great British Welcome, and what a fine bit of kit (I missed it the previous year in the square due to beer). drink

Well on the way back to Calais, I passed it on the autoroute and he come along to stretch our legs for a bit. Well, call me old-fashionoed hehe, but there's something very strange about looking in your rear view mirror at 130 leptons and seeing a 105E hanging onto your rear bumper!!! eek

Quality, absolute quality!! driving

Thanks for the fun - sorry for the late response.

Anyone else bump into it?

Cheers

Rob

hi guys glad you like the anglebox, it's my mates, i remember that on the way home from lemans,we were in conveyor when you came past and of he went on a chase (it does get boring on those long french roads)
he does give it 'beans' and it doesn't hang about 0-60 in 5 sec. dead. he done an anglia shootout for a mag, think it was reto fords
i was his passenger last year to lemans and it does surprise people when he opens the bonnet
tried to upload a vid but it's too many meg's.

he loves modding a car, go to oldskoolford.co.uk website. go to forums, then down to projects and restorations, click on that and look for lotus v8 cortina mk11 project under his name (sierra1off)

he's building a 2 door cortina mk11 with a lotus esprite V8 twin turbo stuffed in the front....i kid you not

I hope your mate might have finished that Cortina by next Summer , it would be great to have some company like that at the LM Classic ?
