Got a recommendation today as something fun to do at the weekend....

http://www.wildcathovercraft.co.uk/

Quite near and reasonable and something i've not done before. Would prefer if it was on water but ho-hum.

I'm thinking next weekend if anyone else fancies it.

I went hovercraft racing there for a stag do a few years ago and it was all a bit ropey tbh... It may have improved since then, but from memory it involved a lot of standing around with nothing to do. The course was also surrounded with long uncut grass and if you came off the 'track' it just stopped and you had to sit there until someone ambled over to push you out again.

Snap! Quite entertaining when you're moving, but very easy to end up stranded in the rough. It does just seem to be some blokes with some hovercrafts in a field, and precious little else there.

I did this last year too and thought it was utter crap.
