I'd suggest there's a good reason for that, I never want to see it again. It looks like the love child of a greenhouse and a ride-on lawnmower....

Honda S2000 240bhp@8300 and Torque 153lbs@7500 weight 1535kg = 160bhp/ton (Pretty nice styling)The power of the S2000 in a lighter body..

TVR Griffith 300bhp@5475 and Torque 310lbs@4750 weight 1035kg = 290bhp/ton (design classic)
(My car, dyno sheet to prove figures)
Axis same performance figures lets say weight down to 1200kg = 200bhp/ton (looks like a greenhouse)
Point is a car doesn't have to be ugly to perform
Be intrigued no more.

No, I'm now confused.TVR Griffith 300bhp@5475 and Torque 310lbs@4750 weight 1035kg = 290bhp/ton (design classic)

Is the S2000 running gear stupidly heavy?? 1200kgs looks much too much for that Axis thing.
Secondly, so 290bhp/tonne in one of the dullest looking sportscars in modern history or in excess of 200bhp/tonne in a car that looks plain crazy, BUT which you can't see when you're driving it.
You see I think cars are made to be driven and if they look nice it's a bonus, but really no big deal. Personally I think that TVR have made some 'questionable' designs (of which the Griffith certainly isn't one!), but they are (relatively) cheap and certainly perform so it's all good!

PS. If it was me I'd junk more of the interior and make sure I was down to 900kgs max....
I think it looks very interesting. Someone has made a road legal car out of an S2000 write-off. It looks as if very little of the original bodywork was usable, but I'm guessing that much of the inner skin of body shell and the suspension and drive train has been retained. The whole of the passenger compartment and front screen looks untouched. So the builder has worked a new body onto the original skin. I think the externally braced sides are probably structural to replace stiffness lost when the old cills were removed, and integration of the rear roll hoop looks neat.
The quality of the work looks fine, the looks are due to the builder staying away from complex curves. Yes; its looks are challenging, but I reckon its a fine example of wreck reclamation, and I think the builder has done a damn fine job.
I hope he pops up and says "Hello".

Vile. It's from the 'melted plastic' school of car 'design' so beloved by kids in Corsas.
People with pretensions of car design should look at the work of the Italians and Brits in particular and work to the 'less is more' mantra, in my opinion. TVRs are just on the edge and most are fabulously clean designs. The Sagaris barely got away with the 'styling-for-the-sake-of-it' look, the Skelta really doesn't. It's one step away from the Avelle GT.......
Incidentally, I think Paul Drawmer's car is beautiful. I have a friend who drives one and it's a stunning bit of work.

I know I said the Axis was 'Challenging', but the Skelta defines Fugly.
Re the figures I posted, the torque is the figure you should be looking at not the pointless bhp figures being created at a screaming 7500rpm.
