On a fave piece of hooning tarmac thats recently been re engineered, theyve put up all new 40mph signs.
Came down there yesterday at some illegal speed or other and noticed that someone(wonder who? ) has sprayed them out, both sides, and ALL the signs along that road.
Is there an unenforceable limit now in operation here?
Maybe the BIBs can offer guideance to an errant speeder?

Supplimentary:

I once saw a speed trap in a 30 limit.

Vandals [1] had removed the 30 limit sign leaving the road apparently a 60 limit.

Could the people they pulled have appealed?

[1] I was so angry I stopped and asked the BinB if they'd done it and they said not. (and I beleived them.)

The enforcable limit is whatever the old limit was (unless they've sprayed the old signs out too! ) The TRO for the new limit has probably not been fully processed yet, but they have the signs up in preparation.

It's interesting...

RTRA 1984 s85(4) states: "... shall not be convicted unless the limit is signed in accordance with regulations..."
