my new watch is 200m water resistant but in laymans term what will this be protected against?

Rather than use my Seamasters for what they were designed to do I bought a 200m water resistant G shock to wear whilst diving. It worked fine at 30m depth.

Yes, it's good enough for anything that you'll be doing in the water as if you were going deeper you would have enough knowledge to not need to ask the question. Safe for swimming & Scuba

200 metres water resistance will usually be marked as 'professional' or '200m divers': denoting a proper divers watch, as opposed to a water resistant watch in a 'divers' style.

If it's got "DIVER'S" written on it, it's compliant with ISO6425.

More information than you probably wanted.

im not sure all it has on it is 200m water resistance
