North bound Guildford A3 junction

No idea how it managed it. I would suspect it hit the barrier on the left which put it on its side. Here is the latest.

They're still letting cars by at the moment, but I think they'll have to close it soon.
I'm in the Avaya building, top floor, so couldn't ask for a better view! (Shame it's a $hit camera!)

How'd he manage that? Not exactly the most challenging piece of road!
Looks like more overtime for the team from McAlisters Heavy Recovery.Well that section of road has seen quite a few accidents.
An artic went clean through the fence a bit further back to end up in someones back yard coming to rest against a house.
I use that route often and it's supprising the amount of drivers that put their lives at risk pulling right out in front of trucks doing 50 down the hill thus removing your stopping distance and there are also the ones that cut in at the last moment to use the exit for Ladymede.
Saw a near miss last week when a driver switched lanes at last minite in front of an empty 10 tonner, the resulting tyre smoke and shaking of the coffee beans by the 20 odd stone tatooed driver made good viewing.
Lucky for the car driver he was able to whip into an empty lane and leggit otherwise summary justice may have been melted out.

I used to work in a building overlooking the Hammersmith gyratory. We were once treated to the spectacle of a middle-aged lady who had some how - God knows how - managed to put her Astra on its roof a good 50+ yards from the nearest bend of any description at 11 in the morning. Some people could crash a parked car.
Yesterday it was all going on!
A car crashed by the Crematorium too so that was the route from Guildford>Godalming buggered through town etc aswell!
And a Mini Cooper blocking the Portsmouth road with a fire engine there too (Not sure why as no signs of fire) so traffic was queing down the A3 Milford slip lane.
I was on the way back from a drive to Birmingham earlier in the day and was sat in traffic along the hogs back and down the B3000, only took over an hour
Good pictures though! Does anyone know if the driver was okay?

Got stuck in that... A trip from Goodwood to Surrey on Friday evening which would ordinarily take me a little over an hour took 4 hours!!! Wife and I... Less than impressed! Thank christ we were in the car we have with Aircon!! Truck looked a right mess when we eventually got past it. We were extremely pissed off about the whole thing at the time, but have to hope the driver of that truck got out alright.

The driver climbed out himself, he looked shaken but was fine. Made a hell of a racket when it happened, and that's through soundproof glass! Gassing Station | Thames Valley & Surrey | Top of Page | What's New | My Stuff
