How Far Down?

How far down should the rear section go when folded?
All I can see in the rear view mirror is the interior light. ~Is it supposed to fold right down? If so what am I doing wrong?

IIRC, No it doesn’t go all the way down like an MX5.

It's still proud of the boot line in the down position.

BEWARE! Make sure you don’t put it down in really cold conditions, you could crack the rear screen. Also make sure when you do put it down, you fold the screen so that it sits nicely in the folding struts.

or roll a nice tartan blanket up in the crease of the screen to keep it from cracking...like we do

Yep, mine has a tiny pin prick of a hole in it. Still I needed an excuse to get a zip out one fitted. Just really didn't need it now with all the other stuff going on.

Some go down further that others. Mine doesn't go down quite as far since it far replaced (the rear section).

Definitely goes down further in hot, sunny weather too.

make sure you unattach the velcro on the bits just behind the door as this helps it push down further. When its warm and the rear screen is more supple I can push the roof down to the point that its not fair off flat with the boot.

Assuming it's identical to a Griff - undoing the Velcro (inside and out) will help a lot though I think too much of this will undo the stitching/glue etc. I also find that easing the clear section away from the seatbelt mounts helps a bit too. But the more you force it, the more you'll get creases so if you can live with it slightly up, it's not too bad.
