Just watching it now.
I thought I saw some LMP1 Astons at the race - I must have been dreaming going by this coverage!

Pretty poor effort IMO, the commentator kept mis-calling and mis pronouncing parts of the track (Hoonoodieres, Mulsayne) I'm sure that's not how you pronounce it!! Also he kept talking about Tom Kristensen retiring when he actually said in the pre race interview that he was leaving the DTM to concentrate on Sportscars. Still, at least we had some coverage of Le Mans which is something!

It was pretty terrible. I kept having to get up and fast forward through the bits about the race that interrupted the highlights. Why can't they just show the highlights?

Then again I should have expected it, it's on ITV!

Just watched my Sky+ recording of this - glad I did not miss a sunny day to stay in and watch it when it was transmitted - The Kristensen thing was a joke - where did they think that information came from ?

Did not capture any of the atmosphere, or even the sequence of the race - I know they only have an hour to sum it all up, but I had no idea what was going on from the programme, and I was at the race...

Really disjointed.

Oh, and maybe a daft question, but did it rain in the night ??!! Or was that footage from the practice session on the Wednesday they just casually threw into the race coverage as a 'filler' about needing to be able to see at night ??!

I agree 12 secs in a pitstop ---- and 15 secs in the wall - not good

I noticed that too, It was just Quali footage that was chucked in!! I hope the official DVD is a bit better researched and put together!!!

The soundtrack was terrible too.
You couldn't hear the noise of the cars over the awful 'trance/d&b lite' music they were playing over it.
