Quick Pogo Drive Question
Discussion
Hi Guys, I have an Origin B2, and have just decided that I will take advantage Origin/Pogo's trade in upgrade offer to a pogo drive on monday (last day of the offer).
I've done some searching on the net and found mostly positive reviews of the product (I've had a B2 for 3 years and the camera DB has always been golden), but wanted to know about the unit/sat nave side.
From what I've heard the Nav is adequate - good enough for me, but a couple of general questions and any other feedback apprciated...
I have read that the unit is too bright to use at night - is this everyone's opinion or has this been corrected via an update ?
What is the feedback on the cig power lead - how long is it? I can get the B2's power lead from the cig lighter in the central console behind the panels and up to the right hand side of the binnacle - is the Drive's power lead the same ?
Any other feedback appreciated (I know I don't have long to make the decision) but for £120 trade in plus another 6 months subscription is an pretty easy decision.
Nice one.
Andy.

Reduced to the minimum light levels for dark driving, it's not too bad, however it's horrendous for distracting reflections in your windows due to a critical design flaw - in that the front area curves out. It needs a hood or snood, but Pogo/Origin weren't interested the few times I've asked them.
The sat nav side is ok, a bit quiet on the voice - it's quieter than for speed trap warnings. Also it always defaults back, so any changes you make - such as making the top tight the present time rather than estimated time of arrival, or zooming the map out so it's usable for advance warnings, are always lost each time you restart.
On the speed trap side, generally it's good BUT - and that's a big but, they've added suspected laser site warnings, you can't disable these and many are wrong. Also when you delete one in the database, next time you sync it comes back again.
Personally at my next renewal I'm now probably going to trade mine in for some thing else, I can live (most the time) with the reflections, and I don't use the sat nav part enough for the defaults returning to annoy me too much, however the suspected laser thing has seriously peed me off as it's frankly annoying at best and has made the unit useless in some areas such as Milton Keynes, where apparently every where is a potential laser trap site.

Thanks for the feedback guys.
I duely placed my order on monday and it arrived yesterday. Have had a quick play with it and I think it will do me nicely - still need to work out the unique bits to the operation, but I can agree with you on the screen reflection which I discovered this morning.
Having said all that - I've had a B2 for 3 years, and it was a pretty easy decision for the £120 upgrade offer. I'll give some more feedback when I've run it for a week or 2.
Cheers,
Andy.
