Several months ago, thanks the the PH collective, I bought all of the Bill Bryson books. A damn good (and funny) read they are too. However, within a week or so I will have read them all. As such, I'm now looking for inspiration for a new author to devour. I don't particularly go for fiction and I do like humour (which is why the Bill Bryson books appealed). So, any suggestions?

Auto/Biography?
Billy by Pamela Stephenson is worth a read.

Another vote for Billy - very entertaining portrait of the Big Yin!
I don't know if it counts as even semi-non fiction but how about the Flashman series by George McDonald Fraser? - Great reading with some historical detail hidden between the tales of rogering! smile

Paul Carter - 'Dont tell mum I work on the rigs, she thinks I'm a piano player in a wehouse' and 'This is not a drill' should fit the bill nicely.
