Well, received the new HID kit for my lights today, got it fitted, WHAT TIME DOES IT GET DARK??
wanna have a play now.....let you know if it was worth it

Car is a GTO-3.

Kit is from Xenonshop

Colour was 4300

And the price was £99 inclusive of del + VAT

Really easy to fit, the only fiddly bit is finding somewhere to put the ballast unit, but thats a problem for tomorrow.

Dont, suppose you noticed if they did a conversion for the GTO (2002)?

Didn't the Headlights change on the 2003 (GTO-3) to being enclosed. I'm probably wrong as I'm new to this type of car.

Yes the lamps were H4,

The lights on the GTO should be the same as the GTO-3, it was when they moved onto the GTO-3R that they were enclosed.

Thanks for clearing that up. Having had HIDS on some of my other vehicles, my only concerns are a couple of small issues.

a) HIDS are renown for generating a lot of heat, hence why when they are fitted to a standard production model they have to be accompanied with a headlight wash system. This is used to periodically cool the light lens. Would the GRP construction of the Noble not be more susceptible to this generated heat than that of a metallic construct?

b) As I have found out on a previous occasion, they are an MOT failure without the wash/spray system and therefore the legal implications could be brought into question.

I mainly drive at night time, so these would be a boon if I could fit a set, just don't want to damage the GRP structure. decent price too.

Any thoughts?

I have just removed an HID kit from my girlfriends SLK (previous owner fitted them) - they are bright but MOT failiure due to the beam pattern. Thats what you get for £99 ! If anyone wants a go with them on their Noble £30 and they are yours H4 to fit GTO and GTO3.
