I parted company with a bit of car today, it was found by the bus following me..

I think they are only on post 2000 cars, any ideas where to find a replacement anyone?

Cheers but no luck with Douglas Valley. Have you a number for Autowash, google can't suggest anything other than washing machines and car washes! A chap on ebay says he has some carbon fibre ones so have asked for a picture before I commit at £120.00 a pair as I would really rather have body colour if possible, not that I have any idea what colour the car is. I thought it was camel yellow until I parked next to a couple of camel yellows at Chatsworth and it aint camel by a long way.

Mine are carbon fibre as far as I can tell. May need a new windscreen but the fitters 'warned' me I may lose them, so be interested to see if they can be sourced.

Me too! I have a screen but need to find someone reputable to replace the screen.

AutoGlass in Portslade are confident they can fit the screen. Not so confident then trim will come off in one piece

are you going to take it to them or will they come to you?

Sorry for the thread hijack.

Taking it to them, parked up in their warehouse and keys coming with me. Think they can do in and out in a day, but would like it overnight just to be sure.

guys i used AG in cardiff, and they were pi$$ poor at doing it, so much so when i asked if they could leave the windscreen out for the repsray they were delighted to do so and go home. they even jokingly said they would make sure someone else came back to fit it as it was a nightmare to remove.

they scored/guaged my front pillar leather on both sides as the razor wire cut through their poxy perspex shelid.

they also asked if i could ask the body shop to remove as much of the old bonder as possible to save them the hassle. what a cheek

If it hadn't gone this far i would have contacted the insurance company and asked for someone else to do it.

im dredding having them back for fitting.

(luckily i removed the outside pillar trims as i bet they would have snappeed them.)

I did not realise until I spoke to plasticman last night that there are two screws that hold them on that need to be taken off from the inside.

There's still an outside chance I can get the chip repaired. But there is some delamination so I was hoping for a new one wink
