Panerai Daylight Chrono or Rolex Daytona...
Discussion
Out of those two? The Daytona.
Are you open to other suggestions? I presume (shoot me down if I'm wrong) that you're after a vaguely toolish sport chrono?
So...
IWC Aquatimer Chrono?
The Speedmaster Pro limited edition with the white face? (I'm sure it has a shorter title...)
JLC Master Compressor chrono?

If it really is a straight choice between the 2, it has to be the one you like most although the PAM is the less "obvious" less conservative choice so depending on how extrovert you are.......
FWIW I'd not buy either. Very nice watches, but not to my own taste.

Whilst I understand it's all down to personal choice, while I make my mind up, what's the PH collective view on the above. Ignoring the cash aspect...
Absolutely neither. If you were to add price back in to the mix then I'd probably choose the Panerai, especially if you were to buy used.
What about an IWC or a different sports Rolex (GMT/seadweller/etc)?
Interesting...
OK, not restricted to those two. But must be a chronograph (ocd wouldn't allow anything else).
I already have an IWC (early ceramic fleigerchrono) and an Omega (seamaster pro chrono). Also have a Blancpain flyback and Zenith class el primero.
The Daytona is something I've liked for a while, but thought it was expensive at 4.5k. Now they are 6.2k I'm having proper doubts.
I quite like Panerai - different to the others I have. But not something I'd considered before so need to think about that some more...
