The OH has a Fiat Punto - i changed the head gasket and timing belt on it at the weekend.

Rather than be satisfied that we averted a £400 bill, she's gotten upset because i've reset her radio and we don't know the radio code.

I've never had a problem getting these codes from dealers over the phone before, so either Fiat dealerships are different or they genuinely don't keep this kind of information.

Is it possible for me to get this information for her using just the registration number? Fiat want the car and the v5 and £30 before they'll give me this info and i can't as she and the car are 160 miles away.

For the same reason i can't get any serial numbers etc.

Can anyon help?

I had exactly the same problem with the missus' old Punto. You need to take the stereo out of the car and get the S/N off the side of it, you can then get the code online for about £8 I think. Can't remember the website that I used though, sorry.
