Satnav in Tuscan

Hi,
Does someone have a satnav with flip screen in his Tuscan? I'm not sure this can be installed because of the construction of the leather bezel that holds the radio. The screen might be obstructed somewhere. Any information or pictures are welcome.

hi peter i have a flip screen stereo/satnav, its an alpine IVA-D106R radio/dvd/cd player with a flip out 7" screen.
the sat nav part is extra and ive not bought it yet but im told it is really very good (NVE-N099P is the code)
the screen works ok with the mk1 stereo pod although the installers had to make a 10mm spacer so the screen didnt hit the upper lip of the pod altough if you look at the install you would never know the unit is pushed foward

Do you find when you put your foot down your screen falls forward like its going to snap or anything? I have a DVD/TV unit i would like to fit but dont want to break the thing...

P.S. You can adjust the tilt and extension on most screen units sure you will be fine...

nope, even during "very enthuiastic" driving the screen remains steady and does not move at all, im sure over time bits of the car will fall off before the screen does

I have a Kenwood KVT-522DVD head unit in mine complete with a Garmin sat-nav. I know the Tuscan 2 has a different layout but it was also fitted to the Chim when I had that, no problem with clearance in either vehicle.

interesting, I would have thought that the ride (especially with nitron suspensions on london roads) would be so stiff that the screen would be moving all the time, and maybe even break at one point.

I mean this is what happened in my Porshce, when "spirited" driving the screen would sort of flip forward a tad then flick back again when changing gear...
