I've got a Breitling Colt and have had it around 5 years now.

Just this last week or so it has started to fall out of time.. If i don't wear it every day then it stops mid-afternoon.

I'm guessing it just needs serviced. If so, who would you recommend taking it to and what damage can i expect to my wallet? What kind of turn around time is there likely to be?

Personally I'd only send it back to Breitling, you can contact Breitling UK for a rough price, but budget for a couple of hundred pounds, it will however come back looking like new!

Can only echo the previous post, I was speaking to my 'watch man' about my Brietling last night and before we managed to fix the problem ourselves he was recommending the only course of action to repair/service a Breitling is back to Breitling, he'd been on the Breitling training course, but they will only let people that have bought all the Breitling specific equipment offically work on their watches and will not sell spares to anyone else, so go straight to the horses mouth, most places you could take it to would only send it there anyway and add their 10%... wink

thanks guys smile

can't get on their website just now, must be flash or java - the work PC hates it!

I'll have a look tonight and give them a call tomorrow. Wee bit dissapointed to be having issues so soon, but if it comes back looking like new then i'll cope

I just got my Breitling Blackbird back from service. It seems pretty steep at £280 but the watch did come back looking almost new (they can't get every scratch out) and the work comes with a 12 month warranty.

It now keeps very good time. Over the last 10 days it has only gained 2 seconds

Some nice videos of the work:

Or why not send it to these people secure in the knowledge that the man that will actually do the service is the same man that set up Breitlings UK service centre before setting up on his own, oh and it'll be half the cost.

half the cost?

sounds good. £280 is ~25% of the original cost!

£280 was the cost for my particular model. They had set prices for the various different models so it could be less could be more - you would need to check with a dealer.

Least they could do is spell Breitling correctly!

It needs lubricating. The oils don't last for ever. Get it serviced.
