I had an LS9 clutch in mine and it never bedded in properly, slipped like a bastard. Perhaps I was unlucky but I now have a Spec Supertwin which I like: www.specclutch.com/products

Incorrect information mate. Please check. I think you will find you are talking about an LS7

TerryS Price is $1500 USD by the looks including slave and flywheel etc, check the link.

Various reasons. One of which is that the LS9 clutch uses a 9 bolt flywheel and crank whereas ALL normal LSx cranks are 6 bolt.
Therefore unless you used this Katech setup which isnt released yet, then you are as above, mistaken biggrin

Hmmm, well I have a Callies crank and the reason the clutch slipped was one of the plates didn't bed in. Of course I never fitted it so I go by what I'm told.

I do know the spec twin plate works great.

I also said I had AFR heads when they turned out to be ported 243s ! Wouldn't be the first thing I got wrong so perhaps I should stick to computers.

Is yours ready yet Jez? Will it be mapped on a dyno or road/airfield only?

All three

Mapping due to be complete this week, then back to Monkfish for a post shakedown overhaul and finishing touches.

The off to the Mira windtunnel if there`s any money left.

But I doubt it

Plain and simple OZ700 single disc will do all you need Richard.

Mine held well over 700rwhp, and pretty much ran back to back 10sec flat runs. After 10k, it was only just fully bedded in.

I only changed it as I was upgrading the box at same time, and fancied their Exo-Skel. I keep my old clutch as a spare now.

Used Fidanza,Spec,Mcleod twin plates but the Ram twin plate beats them all.Light,ok slight rattle/chatter when depressing clutch but oh so nice to drive with, especially in traffic.

No mate, built to my spec, but not by me. Then given to the Fish to install. Then tuned by me.
I wouldnt mind having a go one day, but its an expensive engine to trial and error on!
