vag 2.0 tdi injector?? recon?replace?

Hi all , I have a problem with a 2005 2.0 tdi passat 140bhp engine code bkp. it stopped suddenly and wont start, we have traced it to no 1 enjector going to earth and shutting the engine down as when we disconnect the wire to no 1 it will start and run (all be it on 3 pots) .. anyway a new one from vw is a fortune and im struggling to find anything locally so wondered if there is anywhere that repairs them or does recon injectors for these?

I think if you can find the cause, you just need to install it again.

It should get connected tightly, What makes the injector fallen off?...

http://dieselworkshop.com/index.html based in Luton. Only Bosch agent near North London if you're London based! Good bunch of guys. Dedicated injector testing/reuilding and pump reconditing wing to their garage!

thanks for the input, my injectors turned out to be siemans not bosch so could not be repaired, instead I had to bend down and touch my toes and pay the main dealer price o £380 plus vat for one injector
