How do I get my 355 to spit flames? I know you can do it, if you De-cat the exhaust, but is there any other way it can be done?

The flames are caused by unburnt fuel in the exhaust system, so if you do manage to produce flames, you will wave bye bye to your cats in one way or another wink

De catting is no guarantee of spitting flames. I have had no cats with my capristo now for 5 years and over. It does not spit flames. Like someone said its down to the fueling.

The best way is to decat, ideally get a Tubi or Capristo on there at the same time, anmd then have your car run a little bit rich. Its the extra fuel from that which will get you your flames.

I have whitnesses to prove I had simultaneous flames out of all 4 pipes! Heard the bang from inside the car, but whish I could see them.

Also helps if the air is quite cool, and better to see them at night.

But I wouldn't recommend the running a bit rich route ... not if you value the longevity of your valves anyway smile

As soon as mine was decatted at high rpm upshifts it spits flames. No messing with the fuelling required.
Even visible in daylight. Has to be over 7k rpm though. wink

I have to admit, that is the ONLY area that I personally prefer the 355 to my 348 ... that damn extra 1000 revs biggrin

easy solution: Recipe = decat, capristo, then get it chipped, add hefty application of right foot and voila, you'll have it spitting flames!

Ok, not had mine tuned to run rich, but thought it must be for the flames?
