Did anyone in the Bisley/West End area hear the sustained bursts of Automatic gunfire last night? I'm assuming it came from the ranges but in the nine years I've never heard it that late.. 12am to about 3am!

Oh yeah, I did. Sounded like it was in the direction of Pirbright ranges.

Full Metal Jacket

All out assualt on the local pikey camps I hope.
No prisoners.......

It's been going on all weekend.
I hear it in West End.

Not a problem as the truck drowns out the noise anyway.

I lived right next to the ranges funny thing is I didn't even notice them after a few weeks.

I only got woken up a few times with some fecking huge bangs the small arms fire I could just sleep through.

Good to know I could happily sleep in a war zone hehe

Someone else a Lock Stock fan then.

Some brilliant lines in that film - now let me feel the fibre of your fabric...

Anyway anyone buying a house in Pirbright would of course have been warned about the Firing Range & Heavy Gun Range..
Awesome sounds at weird time of the day & night.
You wait till the Charlie G's start going off on the Mortar Rangehehe

I couldn't hear them firing late last night, but a Chinook did fly over at 1.30am, which is very late for that around my area.

I heard it too from West End - thought it was pyro the first night but it was too late to be legal, then the second night it clicked - must be some sort of exercise?

Couldn't tell where it was coming from though and I'm nosy so I want to know what it was!

Lived here 3 years and never heard it late before.
