Is it possible to change the "boats, planes and trains" forum to something a bit more all encompassing like,

"Aerospace, Astronomy, Trains & Boats" or similar as space stuff seems to lacking a proper home. Cheers.

Maybe something like "Aerospace, Transport (except cars and bikes) , Science & Engineering"

It sounds cumbersome but that forum is always going to have to cover lots of different topics.

The problem with a generic "engineering" forum was that people were asking questions about careers and courses on engineering. It was a bit too vague.

I think "Aviation, Space, Trains, Boats and Military Vehicles" might suffice althjough that's a bit of a mouthful too

Does it really matter if the title is awkward?

We don't have to say it, it just takes up slightly more room in the titles page. It probably needs to be that way to show the diverse nature of the forum.

I agree it's not perfect, so keep the suggestions coming. If we can find one that hits the spot then I'll be happy to change it.

Perhaps keep the planes and trains forum and have a new Space, Science and Engineering forum?

Or just combine the whole lot into one .
