Conundrum - Straw Poll please on private plate WICKED

I own a pretty special plate W10KED which (with a cheekily positioned grommet) looks like WICKED (obviously, duh).
I had it on my Purple Illusion Tuscan and it looked fabulous and attracted much attention. I have since replaced the Tuscan with an immaculate Purple Pearl Sagaris (lucky me). My conundrum is this.... The Sagaris in my opinion is a much more "in your face" looking car than my beloved Tuscan was, and a number of so called friends have said that putting this plate on the Sagaris would chavatise it somewhat. Agree or disagree? Your thoughts please. All replies are greatly appreciated.

I agree with a number of your so called friends, but then I think that making a plate read something its not, is a chav type thing to do.

I agree with a number of your so called friends, but then I think that making a plate read something its not, is a chav type thing to do.

The only plate I've ever really liked on a TVR is UR02 SLO - owned by a PHer and IIRC now on his Lotus.

Its your car and your plate - if you want to put it on there then do it - who gives a stuff what anyone else thinks?
Whatever you do there will always be opinions on either side.
Nothing looks more wicked than a Sag in my view

makig a plate something that it is not is not a great way to go as far as I am concerned. Your car is great and it does not need it.

Thats Sixspeeds, its on his Z4 now, looked great on the Tuscan.

Although an interesting plate, I have to agree that using spacings and use of grommets etc just makes plates and their owners look like t****rs, pretending to be something that it isnt.
However that being a pet hate of mine, I also have to agree that you dont need that plate on a sag, the sag will say so much more than a plate ever will.
Sell the plate and upgrade the sag.

I used to have SEE YA on my TVR which I personally quite liked and wasn't too fussed what other people thought about it - it was just a bit of fun (although plod wasn't amused).

However, I'm sure you've experienced the millions of idiots who shout SEE YA (or WICKED) at the tops of their voices as you go past, just in case you hadn't realised what your number plate spelt. That's the main reason I wouldn't bother with it again.

It's your car and your plate so do what you want.
Having said that I am also not a fan of grommet or screw head placement to change the look of a plate and I think your new car is wicked enough without this particular wicked number plate.

I say put the plate on the Sag and enjoy! Owning a Sag as owning any TVR is quite unique. It all depends if you want yours to be recognisable from the others (at Chatsworth say!)!

I have my name on my plate, just in case I forget!!

I must be reading this incorrectly.

You think W10 KED looks like "WICKED". Surely, it looks more like "WIOKED" (whatever that means).

And you think it was ok to have a plate that reads "WICKED" on a Tuscan but looks too chav on a Sagaris? Have you seen a Sagaris?

I just looked at your previous motors... you a specilaist on the subject then

Only the R32 was a bit chav with its rear wing (but with over 600bhp, it needed it esp as the 4wd's power lead sometimes fell out!). The rest were unmodified apart from 17" alloys.

In any case, I do know how to spot chavs as there are plenty around SW London.

I've had 2 Sags, no Tuscan yet but I will in time I'm sure. I would prefer to describe them as cars with outrageous but purposeful styling and neither in the least bit chav, however on either vehicle some tasteless wheels, cobra stripes, darkened side windows and a noisey exhaust and you start to narrow the gap....

I did appreciate the owner of a Black Cerb having EX03CET or something similar as a personal plate as it had a hint of humour that WICKED, somehow, doesn't
