Any info on what to look out for in buying a V12 e type 2+2 1970's onwards would be appreciated.

There is a good buyers guide to E-Types. I think it was written by Peter Crespin. I've exchanged emails a few times with Peter and he's always come across as being helpful and knowledgeable.

I would also suggest posting your question to the "Classic Car and Yesterday's hero" forum here on PH. There are quite a few E-Type owners here on PH, Lowdrag will probably have some very good advise.
