Dashboard Variations

Does anyone have any ideas or pics for a variation to the veneered dash? My wood needs replacing and I'm toying with the idea of doing something different.

Any ideas or suggestions would be appreciated.

Shoot me down in flames....with a black or grey interior ,how about carbon panels with ally trimmings? .not suitable for magnolia or other colours i think tho'?

I did ponder over using a sheet of smoked perspex some years ago, so that when the instruments are all off, there appear to be... no instruments!
Alternatively, how about a fake dash for use in car parks, with speedo calibrated 'Warp Speed....Hyper Speed...Ridiculous Speed...LUDICROUS SPEED...' and gauges showing the amount of anti-matter and dilithium crystals....

I have a brushed ally dash on a 350i (the S1 style interior) - I have lost my webspace so will email you pics if you want them.
