Wow; lots of words.

So you're a salesman then?

Should be a fully tranferable skill. Get out there and sell something!

No working abroad is not an option (at the moment..)I had an offer from Dubai on Monday but I can't bear to leave the Gatso ridden pot holed roads behind.

I was thinking about dealership sales but despite knowing how to sell that which you can't even see and having rebuilt V8's etc "the agency computer says "no" most roles advertised stipulate motor trade experience only , if I could sit down with a dealership head / owner I am sure I could articulate convincingly why I am THE person, but If a HR department gets involved I doubt my cv would get to the the hiring manager as my previous salary would have been too high.

its just getting a little frustrating being filtered by people who are following a script ..... RANT OVER I feel better now.

Of course there are ways around all of this,so,

if you know of any roles dealerships, B2B or otherwise hiring let me know and I'll work my magic.

Hi Justin, I guess they would only be interested in telecoms experience? Otherwise I would be interested. Apologies for the thread hijacking!!

Take a look at www.e-ppl.co.uk (e-ppl jobs)
We are actively recruiting for consultants who can sell services, althoguh preferably with a background in a recruitment/labour services environment.

I am not interested in the things that "HR" typically look for, it's finding someone with the cahoona's and oomph to get off their ar*e and DELIVER .... that's what makes money and let's us all enjoy those 'finer things in life'.

Deleted my original post DOH! , any way , I am from the Telecomms industry and have mainly created and delivered niche consultancy services. I look at the big guys or incumbent suppliers to the Telecomms market, I then put alot of effort into understanding the customers business, project forward and then create a solution or managed service to get them to market better, faster, cheaper.

This takes a lot of initiative to really understand the business and believe me a lot of energy to lobby the right people and turn around the unrelenting tide of "we have a supplier in place" but once done it does make the incumbent look a little flabby and the Aston Martin Is that much closer. That whats I do. Just need to do it somewhere else.
