Hi,

I'm trying to find a source of these things from which to make an electronic scoreboard:

It's an electromechanical module, with segments that flip over. I can find a dozen scoreboard suppliers but nobody who can supply the individual modules.

Long shot, but anyone here know anything about this?

ETA - they're about 10" to 12" high.

Mods - feel free to move, I didn't know if this was gadgets or sport

Maplin and Rapid only do LEDs.

The decision to use flip-over segments is based on the difficulty of reading an LED display in bright sunlight; this is for a cricket scoreboard so will hopefully be sunny!

As far as I know the device is known as an electromechanical 7-segment display or module.

Size is important so the digits can be read from a distance they need to be at least 10" high.

Quite a good description of the technology here.
