Budget £3.5k- £4k MAX +spending money
anywhere in the world
Probably between july and september
somewhere very beautiful and secluded
somewhere with lots to do, places to see and people to meet (yes yes this one totally contradicts the one above i know- that's the difficult bit)
luxury!

Have looked at Maldives and stuff, but there really isn't a lot to do apart from sit on the beach and snorkel, which is just too little to do.

realise budget is a little tight, and we could possibly pass £4k for exceptional value!

Following places are out: Bali, Hong Kong, Thailand, Morocco, Iceland, Mexico, Western Australia, Greece, Turkey, (all of these have been done)

any help and ideas much appreciated

Would prefer a small and intimate hotel rather than a large faceless place

Twin centre in Kenya, Safari/Beach? We stayed at Governors Il Moran camp (fabulous) for safari and went on to Legends in Mauritius, however I believe there are cheaper 5 star options in Kenya - ours cost more than your budget at around 6 or 7 but was AI.

There are also different levels of safari camp according to budget.

Twin centre Kenya is a good call or perhaps go to neighbouring Tanzania? Twin centre between maybe Arusha and Zanzibar?

May be not your kind of thing, but for our Honeymoon we went to Canada.

We flew to Calgary and drove across the Rockies to Vancouver, via Victoria on Vancouver Island and Whistler.

Maybe not a traditional destination for a honeymoon, but it was fantastic. There was stunning scenery, fantastic hotels, great people and nice weather (not very hot, but nicer than a UK summer).
We went up mountains, bathed in natural hot springs, relaxed by the hotel pool, watched wild bears wandering about, went out killer whale watching, went quad biking through mountain forests, went on Hummer tours, walked on Glaciers, hired mountain bikes, went sight seeing over the moutains in a float plane. There was so much good stuff to do we didn't get bored in the 3 weeks we were there.

We stayed in Fairmont Hotels which were very very nice, and we upgraded to their posher than normal rooms which made things even better.

I know it would not be every ones idea of a relaxing holiday after the stress of a wedding, but we have never been sunny beach holiday people so it suited us down to the ground.
