I get bloody sick of having to hear about how London has been paralysed by 2cm of snow or whatever on the evening news whenever something like this happens. Is the place totally filled with gurning fools?

I work opposite Victoria station and it start raining hard for about 10 minutes and then eased up for a bit so I rushed to catch my train.

So around 15 mins from complete dryness, I was inside the station and there was a river running through it.

Water was coming through the roof in a number of places.

I got on my train and the evacuation alarms started going off and we were told to get off the train.

I managed to squeeze onto the train on the opposite platform and probably was on the last train out of Victoria for a couple of hours.

And yes, people are that stupid.

Your right, i said today that if we didnt work we would be better off because we have to use a DIESEL van for work ! omg!

We are also guilty because i do driveways, this i am told is a cause of flash floods, i mean how dare people improve their property! They should pay a lot extra for loads of drainage because they are greedy and want somewhere to park their cars.

Seems you could avoid all the problems by not going near the place.

(And people are VERY stipid, some were so stupid they voted for Labour, some were so unbelievably stupid they voted TWICE. Some (who voted once or twice) are so think they don't think they are partially to blame for all the financial crap.

It's has nothing to do with the shoddy state of London's infrastructure due to lack of funding and improvements. But this is the same problem across the country. We pay all these taxes which are SUPPOSED to be spent on improving infrastructure and services, and yet we still have incidents like this?

What are we paying taxes for, if none of the money is being used where it should be used!

If this was serious. (We humans will never be able to cope with everything nature throws at us. Even in big cosey citys where nature has almost been banished...it'll still get you occasionally)
