Telescopes

[Revs_Addiction]

Hello all!

This seems the most appropriate forum for info, so hope you can help!

I'm interested in buying a telescope, but know bugger all about them. Would primarily be used for astronomy, budget approx £300-400...

Questions are:

1. Any recommended websites/shops in surrey/berks/hants area?
2. Any recommended makes / models, and equally any to avoid?
3. Is this a realistic budget to buy something that I won't 'grow out' of?
4. Is there a difference between Astronony/terrestrial scopes? I'd like the option to use for terrestrial, but not if it compromises the astronomy aspect.

Many thanks in advance!

Andy.
