Holiday In September With Missus

Looking to book a holiday for me and her for sometime in September.

4 or 5 days, out of the UK, doesn't cost the earth, relaxation, good food, half decent weather at least, nice hotel all on the agenda.

Italian Riviera around Genoa perhaps or maybe somewhere a little further into the hills? I stayed in a great village in the mountains that was close enough to the coast but with plenty of culture and the food was to die for (well if yuo like pizza and pasta it was )

Croatia if you fancy the beach and city combo - possibly Split? Several of the regulars here have been to Croatia and raved about the beauty and relative cheapness of everything!

Malta is lovely in September, hot but not too much, (but with the risk of the odd short 2 hour thunderstorm), everyone speaks English, car hire is cheap, if you need any info pm me.....

We're off to Barcelona for 4 nights in Sept. Flights were £200 for us both on BA, and hotel is £480 - 4* B&B basis.

I'm going to bump this, as I'm thinking exactly the same. 7-10 days in september, primarily looking at Malta or one of the greek islands. I don't want to be trapped inside a resort by dirty male locals like I'd feel if we went to somewhere like marrakesh (the girlfriend is very blonde!)

Any more Malta information would be excellent.
