Which is the best type of adhesive to re-attach the rubber strips back on to the roof?
Mine is peeling on one side and completely detached on the other!
Any tips?

Do you mean the rubber strip on the edge of the roof panel that sits on top of the window when roof is on the car? If so, mine are not glued. The rubber strip sits a metal channel. It does come out at each end occaisionally though. Have read about maybe screwing it in place, but have never tried that.

try running a bead of silicone down the gap then sliding the rubber strip in. It comes out at the ends as it gets caught when the roof is put in the boot
