IE8 Formatting

The 'What's New' view in IE8 results in a much narrower 'Forum' and wider 'Topic' column, meaning that the forum name is wrapped (and often truncated).

Pressing the 'Compatibility View' button in the browser returns it to the familiar IE7 (and earlier layout).

Dontcha love web browsers.

That's handy to know, sounds like it is finally getting closer to the standards it should be following (rather than making up it's own).

The truncation is intentional, we implemented it recently at this end to make a bit more space on the "What's New" and "Forum Group" pages and to allow us to use longer forum names.

The wrapping is (mostly) left up to the browser but all except IE7 behave as you described, wrapping the forum name first and then the title second.
