Sony Cyber Shot HX1
Discussion
Yup, I have one, great piece of kit.
My thoughts were that I am not into protography enough to make use of and justify a full SLR but I want to take some nice shots on holiday, and then you have the hassle of addtional lenses with a DSLR which I can't be bothered with either.
This I think fits those requirements very well, though there are a few others out now so shop around.
Before I bought, I scanned a few mags, the only downsides they made were no RAW feature, but that is pretty meaningless to me anyway and the cost.
However, the panaoramic feature is simply awesome and so easy to use, low light photography is not bad, it takes HMDI video, it has burst mode for moving objects and a pretty decent zoom.
Very impressed and as I never paid full price even better

Thanks, thats reassuring,l have the same criteria you describe, having read the reviews this Camera looks the best choice.I have been down the SLR route and its simply too cumbersome,l want to take Photographs in a variety of situations without the hassle.
I presume not paying full price means E**y?
