I hope it's not one of these long term viral fatiguing things. A guy I worked with years ago went down with one of those, and he was a fit league squash player and outdoors type guy. He was off work for 18 months, and it was struggle for him to even get up the stairs.
I hope its nothing too serious, he's always come across as a good guy IMO. It would be good for him if he could put a name on what he's suffering from and start on the road to recovery.
I kind of wonder about the wisdom of letting him ride when he's talking about being dazed in the last few laps. Anyway I wish him all the best.

Makes you wonder how Rossi would get on on the Ducatti. I guess we'll never find out though. Stoner and Rossi as teams mates could be quite a laugh.VladD said:

Stoner and Rossi as teams mates could be quite a laugh.The thing about Stoner/Ducati is that Stoner is the only guy who can get the thing around the track with a leading laptime, other riders, good riders, all struggle to handle it. So either the Ducati is fast but a pig to ride and Stoner can drag it round better than anyone else, or the Ducati isn't that good but Stoner is a motorbike riding God. Stoner used to have a rep for crashing the bike, but doesn't anymore, and got a championship out of it. I'm just not sure what to think of Stoner, whether its him or the bike thats fast. The whole Ducati situation is odd really. I do hope the illness isn't serious though, he really hasn't looked good post race for the last few rounds.

He's the only one from a bunch of fast and talented riders who's had anything out of the Ducati at all over the last 3 seasons so I really don't understand how people still wonder whether it's the bike.
When he's feeling as bad as the last 3 races and still beats his ex-championship winning team-mate it says an awful lot about his ability to set up the bike and ride it to its limits.

My only hope is that it's nothing more serious that they haven't found yet. There could be a number of things wrong that they haven't got to the bottom of yet. Lance Armstrong had to defeat cancer before coming back to win the Tour de France for instance. As much as I'm a Rossi fan, I wouldn't want Stoner to have to pack up riding due to illness.

Gotta agree with that one.Personally, I think Stoner should give up on this years title until he gets his health sorted out. If it means missing a few races then so be it. Health has gotta come first.
