Price check - F355
Discussion
Chaps, given that there is probably a wide spread in asking and realised sales prices I wondered if anyone had any recent experience of price likely to achieve in sale.
Caveat - I guess this might be close to the line with advertising rules. If this breaches I will delete post. My car isn't for sale yet.
Car in question
Giallo Fly / Nero Interior F355 Spider.
36k miles
1997 on a P plate
Interior = excellent. No shrinkage of leather, driver's bolster in good nick. A/C panel will be refurbed for sale. Door sills will be carbon for sale. No sticky interior issues.
Exhaust = Capristo level one.
No stone chipping to front / front paint protection in place.
New brake pads fitted.
Verdi service history under my ownership. Full main dealer before.
Any views?
Many thanks in advance for any responses.

I sold my 1995 F355 berlinetta in April. 2 owners, 42k miles, Red/creme, fsh, fab condition, tubi exhaust, challenge grill, etc. It really was a good car. Advertised at 35k And sold at £33500. Lots of interest but most folk seemed to have it in their heads that low £30s ment they were getting a bargain and anything less that £30k and the car must be shabby.

Thanks for the input Renmure. I guess you concur that asking 35/36k will end up there or thereabouts after haggling.
I think if you are looking to achieve 32/33k then advertising it at 35/36k is the way to go.I have kept a bit of a nosey at the Classifieds and I guess if I were looking for a good yellow F355 Spider at normalish miles then I would expect it to be around 35kish.
To be fair, most of the serious enquiries I had were all fairly knowledgeable from folk who had done their homework and focused in on Service History, cambelts, clutch, tyres, buttresses and other maintainence things. The people asking the questions were certainly more knowledgeable about the cars than I was when I was buying

I also have a good mate who fairly recently bought a lovely F355 Berlinetta, rosso/nero, low owners, FSH, 24k-ish miles, sports exhaust blah blah blah.. essentially a really great and pampered car and he paid £36k so I do wonder how much better these cars advertised in the mid/high £40k's can possibly be.
