Late one night last week a hand-written note dropped through my mail slot.
It read:

"Dear Sir (TVR owner)

I live in [2 doors down] & my brother loves your car.

It is his leavers ball on Wednesday at 7 & I was wondering how much would it cost if you could drop him off at [local school] down the road.
If you could let me know how much I would be really greatful.

Thanx
Shirlynn"

How sweet is that?

You've got to do it. TVR honour etc. etc.

I've been asked similar once - I did it for free, I love showing off my car and as long as it doesn't mean going well out of my way I am happy to do so!

Do it for free! I would! The chicks will love it (sorry how old are these 'leavers' paperbag)

My previous Tuscan was the brides charriot at my sister-in-laws wedding & I loved playing chauffer. Looked fantastic with ribbons on and got sooooo much attention

If you do it, you will have to do it for free. Otherwise it is illegal, unless you have a private hire/Hackney Carriage licence for your car and the appropriate taxi insurance.

Ahaha. I certainly wouldn't have dreamed of charging anyone to show off my car!

Though I called and left a message saying I'd be delighted, I didn't hear back. (This was last week Wednesday)

Sadly he must have chosen to go in a lesser vehicle.
(Or possibly they realised that his date wouldn't have enjoyed it much in the boot smile

Maybe he changed his mind as his mates would want to know who his sugar daddy was.
