Have recently had the exhaust changed on my 56 VXR, basically a straight thro from cat back and just running 2 silencers at the rear, not a wortec, can't afford one :-(. Question is, do I need to get it re-mapped, how much will it cost at what will the benfits be to warrant it. Have not done it for power gains or anything like that, just wanted the noise and only do around 4k a year. Thanks for any advice

I believe a Wortec remap at the fish is about £690. Where you get it done is up to you but its always advisable to have a remap after each exhaust mod Some will say they didn't do it but its advised that you do.

For a cat-back I understood even the Wortec line these days was that it's optional.

Yeah, save the re-map for when you get the headers and freeflow cats fitted smokin

Not taking any shots at the 'fish boys, they do excellent work. But I think 690 for a remap is a bit rich, since I had my SC upgraded from 6 - 9 psi and a bespoke on-dyno remap done for less than 550 (at Rgb).

Well remember your paying just for the actual work they do during a re-map, yr also paying a premium attached to claw back the orriginal developement works which none of us as customers see at the time.

Try looking at DMS prices! yikes
