Installing Leven jump start/Anderson kit
Discussion
After yet another flat battery (left lights on), I have bought the Leven kit and I will have a go at putting it in this weekend. Leven's instructions are detailed as usual, but does anyone have pics showing the best routing for the cables from the Anderson socket to the starter motor?
Alternatively, is there a way of installing it which allows connection of the jump leads without having to access the cabin or engine bay?

The latter TVRs have anderson connectors under the sill of the cars (well that is what I would call it on an everyday car), but you still require access to the cabin to turn the key if jump starting
Yes, however access to the cabin is also easier if there is enough charge in the battery to use the central locking system rather than the, er, "alternative" methods of entry...
Hi,
I fitted the leven kit recently, fitted as per instruction with regard to the location of the connector in the engine bay, however I ran the negative lead along the lower chassis rail to the earth point, rather than the upper chassis rail as this is close to the exhaust. Unfortunately the positive lead is a bit short to follow the same route but still ran it away from the upper chassis rail to the starter. Even with a flat battery I have always had enough charge for the central locking to work and access the cabin. I guess you could fit the connector to the crossmember (behind the drivers wheel) that runs from the out rigger to main upper chassis rail , not sure how accessable that would be though, you can buy a rubber cap that fits over the anderson connector.
