Starting my V8s
Discussion
I seem to have a power drain from my battery.
I tend to only use the car at weekends in the last 3 weeks have had to jump start the car at least 3 times. I have tried disconnecting the alarm as someone told my that the trick feed from this maybe causing the power loss. Unfortunatly this hasn't seemed to of helped. Any idea what maybe causing the problem. The situation got worse this morning went to start the car only 13amps, not even enough power to allow me to open the boot. Please can someone advise if there is a manual overide in situations like these.?

The battery on mine is good for a couple of weeks with the alarm on. It could be your battery was on the way out - running it flat damages the battery so if it wasn't knackered before it probably is now! Would be worth checking for things left on causing a current drain - interior light, that sort of thing. Is it possible the alarm is going off and causing more power drain that way? If you have mains supply, a battery conditioner would be the ideal answer. Alternatively, the Priority Start unit advertised at the back of sprint wll ensure the battery doesn't go completely flat. There is a manual release for the boot, this is described in the S series bible. You can also trigger the boot release using an external power supply for example a 9V torch battery or direct from another car. If you're interested in this let me know and I'll explain how.
