Was looking online and wanted to know how far in advance should one book flight tickets in order to gain the best possible prices? Is four months to far in advance?

Thanks

Not at all.
Most airlines release schedules 10 months in advance and don't have many seats in the cheapest classes (usually O and Q.)
Which route and dates are you looking at?

I thought it was 330 days in advance when flights can be booked... (for most airlines, not all).

Normally the best rates can be found in the 'sales' - just a few seats per plane.

Otherwise, book as far ahead as possible to get the next best rates.

Although bmi use a random number generator...
