A civil servant, Lisa Greenwood, has been sacked from her position at 'the department for children, schools and families' (sic) for sending an email from work criticising the tax dodging, condescending, ex-ministerial, shortarse, ginger bd (will that do?).

This truly has become the USSR.

Or probably the ussr.

Nothing new there.

Civil Servants have always been barred from expressing their personal opinions on their masters or on governmemnt policy.

That's been the case for at least 100 years.

It is looked on as "gross misconduct" and is one of the few occasions where a Civil Servant can be sumarilly dismissed.
