Help! 986 Boxster boot dimensions?
Discussion
Hello,
I bought a 2001 Boxster S about a month ago, and thus far it is awesome. Love it. And to celebrate my OH and I are taking her camping for two weeks in the south of France. The only problem is, we're going tonight and we've rather rashly decided to buy a table to take with us. The only snag is, I don't have the dimensions to the rear boot handy and I need to know whether to get a folding one or one of the roll-up aluminum types.
Does anyone have them to hand? I've Googled to no avail.
Please?
Thanks!

Don't know dimensions but i would get the ali one.
You can fit 2 of those fold up chairs in the rear boot easily, although you will end up packing around rather than putting bags in if you want to take much kit.
Don't forget anything you don't want to get warm will have to go in the front boot.

The 2 chairs fit nicely in the gap (made by the suspension mounts at a guess?) at the back. with the fold flat I was hoping I could put it in the boot face down and just put the bags on top. It's just a question of whether or not it'll actually fit...You can fit 2 of those fold up chairs in the rear boot easily, although you will end up packing around rather than putting bags in if you want to take much kit.

Point noted about the back boot getting warm. How warm does it get on a long run? When I tracked my Clio 197 a bottle of water in the boot would get wash-basin warm just from the exhaust!
Hi Mutt, i hope you are still active, i saw your message about going camping in the south of france for 2 weeks in your 986, i about to do the exact same thing, and im looking to get a table and some chairs in, i wanted to chat with you to see how you got on and what you wouldve done differently?
Would really appreciate a response
