Youtube video, adding music

I have had music deleted from one of my videos due to copyright laws. This i understand and accept. However, i am seeing more and more videos with chart songs etc where a banner comes up for itunes with the song still in the video. Anyone know how these people still have their songs attached to their videos? Youtube knows about them because it supplies a link to the song for purchase.

They have either paid Youtube for it being directors and such, or have added 30 seconds of other stuff to the beginning of the song so the audio fingerprint the software takes of videos to check if it is copywrighted doesn't match. After that it only gets deleted if someone reports it.
