Just like "St Kevin's stump" from an episode of Father Ted biggrin

On seeing the "image", no it isn't. It's funnier hehe

Times Article said:
The lack of enthusiasm from the priest, though, is matched by the determination of locals to turn the stump into a permanent shrine.

“We have almost 2,000 signatures on a petition already and we are going to continue getting more,” said Seamus Hogan, a shopkeeper.
So, no conflict of interest fromMr Hogan then.

Life imitating art - there was a Father Ted episode with a reference to St Kevin's Stump.

ETA: 4wd got there first, but I had a slowdown in the connection for some odd reason.

Fair play to Seamus Hogan, if people are thick enough to go flocking to a tree stump, he may as well milk it for all it's worth.

roflThe whole thing's like an episode of Father Ted:

Father Paul Finnerty said:
While we do not wish in any way to detract from devotion to Our Lady, we would also wish to avoid anything which might lead to superstition.
All he needs to add is "Or that sort of thing".rofl

Don't forget the upgrading of "The Holy Stone of Clonrickert" from a Class 3 Monument to a Class 2. Apparently it wasn't 'doing enough business' in Co. Fermanagh so they upgraded it and moved it.

(I remember too much detail of Father Ted episodes to be healthy.)

They sent some of the wood chippings for analysis and it came back as containing Virgin DNA.

Bloody backwards bogtrotters.
If you want to see something really sad and pathetic look into the history of Knock airport.
