Royal Scots Dragon Guards, George Square, Glasgow
Discussion
EDIT: I know it should be 'Dragoon', but don't know how to fix the title - feck!
The RSDG were in Glasgow today, 11AM-1PM, with a Challenger 2 and Scimitar. Not much media coverage considering its their first time back in Scotland in 8 years, but there was a decent enough crowd to cheer them and they stayed in George Square with the tanks and horses for a couple of hours. Here's a few photos, resized way down, but hope they're OK:

Yeah, would prob make an effort also.
Dont know if its just cause im getting older but I really feel we should support our troops regardless of our feelings on government etc.
Some of these guys are just kids and Im sure most of us know somebody whos left a boy and come back a man. I know one kid in particular who was working in abu grade (apologies for spelling) prison and I swear when you look in his eyes you can feel the heavy sh*t locked away in his mind. Hes got to carry those sights for the rest of his life.
Always make an effort to talk to squaddies now and let them know I appreciate their bravery - top lads, all those brave enough to fight in iraq/afg'stan should be proud of themselves.
