Yes! You're not wrong mel. They should never have put radios in these cars. The driver should be made to just listen to the noise. Even Mozart couldn't compose a note like that. Sounds really agressive. I just come back from a run round the block and pretty much burnt 15 squids of fuel. What did I acheive? Bugger all! But who cares. Thing is the harder you go, the better they sound. Very addictive indeed.

But SO worth it
What are your plans now mate? or are you happy for now. I know we should be but its so hard not to want more

First 2 weeks of ownership I didn't even know I hadn't turned the radio on!Does anyone else take different routes now to go under railway bridges for a bit of popping and banging?
So I definitely agree with this thread... oh so addictive

These are the wheels

I will get some photos when they are on the car. My mate has them on his seat leon and they look better in person. Matt black with a red lip, really show off my nice shiney ap's. I did struggle with alloys as most places just said no due to the ap's
I'm okay with mods so far as i only got a car at the start of the year, since then i have got the wheels, ripshifter and ap's. I may go towards efi live at the end of the year but will speak to a few forum members before i do. Just want to enjoy the car for a bit, but i feel a diff will make a huge difference. I plan to do alot of suspension mods next year.

I like to go under as many bridges and tunnels as poss. Then really open the throttle! Scares the bejeesus out of other motorists. And makes me laugh hard. Approach said bridge or tunnel at low speed in 2nd then hard on the throttle! Great when you get convertible cars in front. The drivers poo their undies.
I'm such a child
Thanks Mel, for putting this all back in perspective - it's all about the cars and the thrills we all get from owning/driving them. Let's hope the recent shenanigans and ill feelings can be forgotten. If anyone has any doubts, just get in the car, wind down the windows, select first and floor it - soon brings the smiles back.
PS. Who here hasn't driven 20 miles for a bottle of milk from the shop 1/2 mile down the road? Come on, own up.

There is not a drug on the face of the earth that's ever made(not that I've done any) me feel like the Beast does. I did 15 miles going a mile to the shop
