Gear knob gets very hot around town is this normal or shall i need looking under the centre pannell to see if there is a gap or hole in the cover under there?

thats standard im afraid, the fix is to fit a non metalic gearstick stalk, if your interested in one i maybe be able to help u as iv just had a couple made for mine.

How easy is it to fit, do you have to drop the 'box out or can you do it from inside the car?

It's a known problem on early Tuscans. Speak to your local dealer and get/ have them instal a heat sink.

I let one of my lady friends to have a go with my Tuscan, she said the gear stick is stiff and very warm. After she finished the drive I then asked so did you enjoy the stiff stick and a hot knob all roll into one then. wink
